Going Pro with Nick Woodman

After losing millions of dollars of investor money when two of his startups failed by the age of 27, Nick decided to take some time off. On a surf trip in Australia, he wanted to take pictures of himself riding the massive waves and designed an impromptu contraption using a Kodak camera, a rubber band and a piece of broken surfboard – unknowingly the first GoPro prototype. This idea would later make him the richest CEO in the world for a brief period of time and even a billionaire!

With a $1000 entry fee and despite no guarantee of coming back with anything, David decided to go for it. After a tense final round, he made the winning hand and won the tournament securing the funding for his company. Who said madness doesn’t go rewarded now?
